We do love a good story.

“My matchmaker got to know me quite well. She would call foul if she thought that I wasn’t answering a question honestly or completely and tease out additional information which in the end got me Jennifer. I found the dates to be very low pressure. We would show up, grab a cocktail, talk and then at the end of the date either exchange cards or just part ways.”

“It’s Just Lunch made it very easy to meet someone. We’ve recommended It’s Just Lunch to friends because wading through other online dating options is tiresome and tiring. And letting somebody else do that work for you is the best way to go.”

“The investment to join It’s Just Lunch is a small price to pay if it helps you find the person you will spend the rest of your life with. Just do it!”

I loved the fact that I didn't have to sit and chat with people on a computer! I really felt safe with the process. Unlike online dating, I knew that I wasn't going to meet a prince from Africa who needed me to send $1,000. The It’s Just Lunch team knows their clients. I liked meeting people in person. I also enjoyed the food and trying new restaurants.

What was it like working with the It's Just Lunch matchmakers?
Hope and the team in Denver did a fantastic job of listening to my preferences and concerns. The IJL process pushed me outside of my comfort zone. Giving feedback on the dates seemed a little superficial at first, but then I realized that if I don't get clear about what I'm looking for and have the courage to communicate what I need, then I'll never find the right person.

Do you have any advice for singles who might be considering signing up with Its Just Lunch?
I was deterred by the cost at first. Now, I consider it the most important investment of my life.

Rick and Kristina

My dating life was totally scattered, unorganized and unfulfilling. I tried doing online dating and it was too much for me. I had just started Stella*s PopKern and, as a single mother, I just found the whole online dating thing completely unmanageable and daunting. I wanted someone who knew me to “fix me up” and when a friend suggested IJL, I did some research and found it to be the right “match” for me at that moment. My matchmaker was amazing and she really understood where I was in my life. After spending time on the phone with her, I was ready to join IJL. She was instrumental in setting Rick and I up.

Our first date was super awesome and chill. There was never a lull in our conversation. I found Rick to be engaging, intelligent, witty and outright fun! We were set up at restaurant in the city and bonded over delicious food and wine.

“I am a Managing Director which is a very busy position requiring a lot of time and energy which has a corresponding direct impact on my personal time and life. I had been married and was divorced going on 8 years. I tried the usual ways one meets their partner from recommendations of friends, family or business acquaintances. While all were offered and received in a well-intentioned way, it was complicated by the 3rd party who introduced you no matter how they tried to be distant or an impartial observer. I talked with friends about internet dating and the pluses and minuses. Stories of photos that were quite dated. Which is a long way to say why It’s Just Lunch interested me. It was their professional approach, they personally would interview all parties involved from a true impartial 3rd party perspective without personal linkage to either person involved.”
